It's been a year since I posted a blog on this site.  I was just browsing through windows live and realized that it was just about one year ago when that last blog was entered and interestingly enough, it was about my Walk For Life, and my Community Band experience.  That is what I want to talk about now.  Not the one that happened a year ago but the one that just happened recently. 

 

I entered the Walk-a-thon again this year and that was good.  As was the case last year, I again raised $200.00 for the New Hope Pregnancy Center.  That's not much but every little bit will add up to a lot.  I enjoyed the walk.

 

Thursday night, the 22nd., The Greater Cleveland Concert Band did its anual Halloween concert at the Conn Center on the campus of Lee University here in Cleveland.  Of course I have stayed with it for over a year now and was there on stage at the performance.  Two weeks earlier, I wouldn't have given you a wooden nickel for what I thought the performance was going to be like, but perhaps God was merciful to us and we certainly did surprise ourselves.  It really turned out well.  I could hold my head up high and walk off that stage feeling a sense of pride for the job we did.  We are not all professionals but there are some amoung us who could be.  I have really enjoyed the band this past year and, the Lord willing, I will continue to practice and perform with the band for many years.

 

I do wish I had more active friends here on windows live.  Well, I have more that I had a year ago, but that still not many.  I should do more here, myself.  I guess if I show more interest in it, perhaps more of my friends on other sites might check it out.  This blog entry is an attempt to excite myslef and maybe some others, to at least some small degree of interest in this website.  Why not comment back and let's see if something can happen for us all.
